1. Session extension requests (to be completed by the therapist they are seeing) - only applicable if enabled by the Employer. (Further details below).
  2. Self-fund ongoing sessions with their therapist.
  3. Seek funded support from the public mental health system by having the individual reach out to their GP first. There is usually a public waitlist and should be started as soon as the individual is aware they will need ongoing support.

Session Extension Requests

The individual's therapist will need to complete a form to apply for extra sessions. We then present this to you anonymously so you can decide if you want to provide further support.

Note! Therapists are advised that these extra sessions are not guaranteed.

In order for you to make a decision as to whether to approve these extra session, we will let you know:

  • what has been achieved in the sessions delivered so far
  • the number of sessions the therapist believes are needed to provide further support to your individual
  • what these extra sessions will be focussed on

If the number of extra sessions advised by the therapist is not realistic on your end, please remember you are able to decline this extension or suggest a number that is more manageable.

Here are some examples of how you can reply to a request:

  • approve extra sessions
  • approve sessions on the basis that this will be the last allowed session extension for this person
  • suggest an alternative number of extra sessions to fit your budget
  • approve one (or more) session/s used to support the client with transitioning to a longer term means of funding (e.g. public system / GP referrals)
  • decline extra sessions

If you do receive a request and you have any further questions or are unsure how to proceed, please reply to the request email and our therapy team can assist.
